What People Are Saying
it clean and leaves a nice smell.. but I think it attracts dust.. i will update this again..
Great product! I have used a lot of different brands and this one by far is the best one I have ever used. As long as you can read and follow instructions, you will love the way your interior will turn out. Brought some of the places back to life that was faded and when dust finds the top of your dash you can literally just take a deep breathe and blow it off and looks like new again without using more of this product.
Flat out works! Black Magic is not always easy to find. Black Magic "Protectant" is not water based like some other similar products. I use Protectant for dashboards and have not had one crack on me yet, even with summer temps here (Mojave Desert) in the 110 to 117 for weeks.
I have a pretty nice, unique SUV,... and I mean a real SUV (7800 tow), not one of those crossover things that people drive neither for Sport nor Utility. As such, it hauls a lot and can get dirty, and hauling young children is no help keeping it clean either. Though I have protective coverings in the rear hatch and backseats, my loads may contain wood, charcoal, gardening, ash, bricks, steel, boating supplies... stuff that gives off dust. Yet, I need to keep the cab clean and exterior stunning for date nights with the wife. I always kept ArmorAll or Clorox wipes in my glove compartment. Black Magic was a product used on my tires. But those wipes dry out super fast, so having a refresher in the bottle helps. Black Magic spray bottle stays in the truck now, and I can use a fast food napkin if I have to do a quick clean up. Since it is winter here, below freezing one day, sixty degrees the next, I'll see how it holds up with this crazy environment. So far, so good...
Let me preface this review by saying that I am not familiar with the Black Magic brand. This is my experience with this product. Functionality – This detailer works exactly like I had hoped! The inside of my car gleamed and smelled like a brand new vehicle after only a little bit of scrubbing. I was surprised by how well the spray worked and how long the effects lasted. Still has been several weeks and it looks like I just left the dealership. Verdict – 5 out of 5! The detailer has worked out very well for me so far! I will definitely be keeping tabs on this brand for any other products they put out. Black Magic has definitely found a repeat customer.
I drive a 2005 Mustang. The interior is certainly not new, but I still like using interior cleaning products so the plastics and dash, etc stay clean and are protected from sun light fading. This product does a good job. My suggestion would be to spray this onto a rag vs directly onto your car. My radio buttons are all basically wiped out due to age and probably due to long term cleaner use. My only knock against this is the smell, but I'm picky about smells as it is, so take that with a grain of salt. Overall, a good product, I'd recommend. Also, very fairly priced.
"Black Magic Interior Detailer" appears to me to be a competitor product to a nationally know one that most of us have used for years - "Armor All". And since I've used that nationally known brand for many years, and am familiar with it, I approached this review in that light. The fact is that for the most part, I see little difference in the two. The two products are applied in essentially the same way, on like surfaces, and - based on my own testing - produce similar results. The maker recommends the use of microfiber or lint-free towels, but I used (as I always do) a good brand of paper towels, and I got good results. The only "knock" I might offer against "Black Magic" is admittedly a minor one, and one that is a matter of purely personal preference. And that is the aroma/odor/essence, or whatever you want to call it. Compared to the nationally known brand that I mentioned, the aromatic effect is not as pleasant to me. It's not bad, mind you, and it's not that the smell is particularly strong - it's just that in my subjective judgement, I didn't find it especially pleasant. Other than that, I see very little difference - if any - between this product and the nationally known alternative brand(s). It goes on the same way, on the same types of surfaces, is applied and wiped in the same manner, and does the same job. This "Black Magic" product left a nice shine to the vinyl (and on some plastic) surfaces in my car, which still appear to have the "clean" look to them now, several weeks later. The aroma I spoke of dissipated quickly and completely within a couple of hours. Even on the darker and more built-up scuffs or grime spots, it took only a little bit more pressure ("elbow grease") and they came right off. Admittedly, though, this was not a really tough test, since my vinyl surfaces were not especially grimy, and are fairly new (2 & 1/2 years old). But be that as it may, my conclusion is that "Black Magic" is of a quality highly comparable to the national brands. So the bottom line is this: if you find this product at a lower price than the well-known brands, BUY it. If the prices are the same, then it's a toss-up. But "Black Magic" gets a good recommendation from me.
We were happy to try this Black Magic Interior Detailer spray in exchange for our honest review. I have used various cleaning and detailing products in the past so I was expecting somewhat the similar results from this Black Magic product. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to see how well it worked! It didn't leave any "slick" residue behind like other brands have and seemed to give a "deep down" clean to the dash. Our seats and door panels are leather and this does not say it is safe for leather so we are limited to what we can use this on. The scent is somewhat strong at first, somewhat like the "new car" smell, but it does mellow out after a day or two. All in all I would say this is a winner and would recommend it to anyone I know.
It does give different interior surfaces such as plastic, leather, and even glass, a cleany non-glaring feeling that actually lasts a long time. You'll feel and see surfaces being neat and clean after using the product and it dry up fast. The only thing that would made me cautious is that it smells and feels a bit overly chemical in my taste, but in perspective, I'm pretty against chemical infiltration of toxic materials into the human body in general. I decided I'll use it on less frequently touched surfaces in my car.
This product works good. I used it to clean the interior of my car, which hasn't been done for a while and it was fairly dirty. This stuff helped remove the stains on the doors, dash and console. I didn't use on the seats because they are covered with cloth. It doesn't leave a shine like other products I've used before but that's okay with me.
Black Magic Interior Detailer works. Directions say to spray it on a cloth and then wipe the surface of your car's interior. I did just that and it cleaned the dash in a short time. I didn't over apply it so I didn't have to go over it a second time with a dry cloth to remove the excess. By the time I finished with the two rear side doors, the dash and the front doors were dry. I did take a clean dry paper towel and wiped over the dash just to see the result and the paper towel came back dry, no residue left over from the Black Magic. On the rear side doors, it removed some smudges that had been there for quite a while and that makes it worth while to use this product. This bottle is 16 ounces and I only used a little bit of it, so it should go a long way before I need to get more of it. It also has special UV inhibitors which should help keep the dash crack free for years and years.
I got this Black Magic Interior Detailer for my 2 cars. I was just expecting it to clean dust and give it a shinny look, but this thing also smells amazing. It leaves your car smelling really good and gives a shine to the surface and protects your dash. In AZ it is very important to me to find a way to protect my dash from the hot sun. I highly recommend it
This works well, and I it has the matte finish. I liked that I could use it, and didn't have to run to wash hands to get the residual off like some other brands that are really slick. It smells like a public bathroom deodorizer which seamed odd at first, but when I later got in car (and had forgotten about cleaning), I thought it smelled good.
Wow!!! This DETAILER works magic. To start, I applied it to the interior door panels. The panels had a few light fade marks on the door frames at the bottom of the window areas that disappeared with little effort. Door panels look new again. Also did the dash, dash instrument panels, steering wheel, etc. I was amazed how easy it was to cleanup the weather stripping around the doors and door frame, making the doors open and close easier and fit tighter. The interior is so much quieter now. Even makes everything that was wiped feel smoother. The great scent tops it off. My old truck interior looks and smells new again. EXCELLENT DETAILER.
I am not a fan of the detailers that make everything shiny and streaky at all, and this product doesn't do that. My dash has never had anything on it other than cleaners but it needed a refresh. This detailer gives it a nice luster but not a gloss. On other areas like the doors and kickplates it cleaned well and was easy to apply. I put a picture where the product was applied on the left and not on the right to show how it looks on a black dash.
I used this "Black Magic" detailer on my car interior and it now looks like new. It shines & cleans to my satisfaction. It takes very little on a damp rag to make the interior look like new, and it smells good too. Very nice!
I found this product to be equal to that of the regular product I use...Turtle Wax. It even leaves a nice smell in the car. I also found it to appear to last longer. I am impressed with this product. As long as the price remains within a good range I will continue to use this product. I would recommend this to anyone looking for this type of product.
Not super impress with this black magic interior detailer, as I thought it would leave the dashboard and everything else really shiny. It does a great job at cleaning, but it won't leave it shiny.
Great product, not to much overpowering shine but not a dull finish either nice rich color and smells great also been detailing cars for years and I will definitely be getting more of this to use on customers cars Black Magic has always had great products and this just adds to the line of must haves in the collection
I applied this product by spraying on a chamois cloth then applying it to my dash and interior hard surfaces and it works well. It does seem to clean well and makes everything look nice, but it does leave a shine that I was able to dry back off. It left everything looking good when I finished the process.
Did not know how dirty my back seat was till I used this. Best of all it did not leave a residue behind like others have. Cleaned my steering wheel to without leaving a sticky feeling. I also gave my car a nice but not to strong pleasant smell. It also prevents sun damage without making your dash glare back at you when the sun hits it. I cleaned everything in my car twice(it was really dirty). And hardly used any product. Seems a little bit goes a long way.
I'm not a great fan of car interior sprays. Over the years, I've used several different brands, and they all seem to have at least one serious shortcoming. The Black Magic Interior Multi-Surface Detailer broke that mold for me. It's about as easy to use as can be--just spray it on a clean cloth and wipe it on. It covers quite well, leaving little to no streaking, dries quickly, cleans a wide variety of surfaces, and leaves behind a soft, lustrous, non-glare finish. No wet look. No slippery or sticky surfaces. And while I haven't had it in use for a long time, it does seem to repel dust. It certainly brightened up the interior of my ten-year-old pickup, which by necessity, has never seen the inside of a garage. In the next few days I'll use this detailer on my other vehicles. I'm quite pleased with its performance, and think you'll like it as well.
My car collects dust very fast. So, I was really hoping that this Detailer spray worked like it said it does. It has a Dust-Guard formula that is supposed to keep dust from sticking. It's also supposed to protect from the sun's rays and have a no-glare natural finish. Well, I sprayed my towel and wiped down my car, starting with the dash, because the dash is always dusty. So, when I circled back to the dash, there was already dust, or so I thought. After I took the pictures and looked closer, I saw that what I thought was dust was not actually dust, but was lint left by my towel. So, that renewed my hope that it would work. So, over the next few days, I kept an eye on my dash and I was surprised to see that the dust was really staying away. The first time my kid got in the car after I sprayed it down, she said that it looked like a new car. So, the detailer is a good product and it does do what it says. The smell is not very strong, so that helps. I also do like the no-glare, natural finish.
The detailer does a nice job of cleaning and leaving a nice sheen on the interior of my car. I used a cotton cloth with my cleaning of the inside of my car. This spray is a breeze, just spray it on the dash or doors and wipe it evenly on all the surfaces and let it set for a few minutes and then wipe it off or you can buff it out to a matte shine. I sprayed mine and spread it out on the dash, left it for awhile and then lightly wiped it off. It was not greasy or left a strong odor, it does have a slight smell to it, but nothing that I found offensive. It does a good job on my dash that gets a lot of sun.
This product is a great for my dash & door panels! It does not have a high gloss when it dries and it doesn't feel greasy! It doesn't leave streaks and makes the surface of the dash looks amazing! I would highly recommend this product to all of my friends and family!
I like the black magic interior detailer which not only clean the dust and restore the better look surface, clean the tough dirt that next to the area where shoes mark left behind. I was a happy camper to see the result. In addition, it came with light fragrance which was good to refresh the smell of the car. The bottle design was easy to use and operate, turn on and off, press to spread. At last, I store away without leak.
The thing I love most about this product is that you can use it on just about any surface on your interior (except cloth). Where it really shines is on gauges, consoles, navigation screens, or any hard, shiny surfaces found on so many of the later model vehicles today. Another great use for this product is at the office and at home, computer screens, telephones, keyboards, stereo equipment, the list just keeps on going. Black Magic Interior Multi-Surface Detailer does not streak or smear and cleans without leaving a shiny or greasy feeling. It simply makes everything look new and clean on everything you use it on. Not only do I use it in the car and home, but I also highly recommend it to our kids who come home from college with cars that are in drastic need of detailing. I also tell then to take the remaining solution that is left over home with them and use it around the dormitory and share it with their friends. Ensure that when using this product that you spray the contents onto a microfiber cloth as opposed to spraying the liquid onto the devices being cleaned to avoid overspray. Also, never used a cloth containing polyester as this may scratch surfaces, and most of all, enjoy yourself and this wonderful product from Black Magic!
This cleaner is very nice and has a nice, pleasant smell. It does not leave a greasy residue or a overly shiny appearance. Just a nice, clean overall finish. I recommend spraying and letting it sit for a few minutes if you have any deep stains or discoloration to allow this to penetrate before wiping clean with a microfiber cloth. I have a couple older vehicles, as well as a new one and do not mind using this product on any of my cars. The quality seems great and doesn't do any damage from any harsh chemicals. Very well done.
This stuff works. I found it cleans dashes, instruments covers etc very well. It also leaves a finish that helps protect against further dirt build up. After cleaning my dashboard twice, now it only takes a light mist for further cleanings. Comes in an easy to use spray bottle.
Put this on my leather car seats and as you can see the difference this product made. In the picture you are viewing I did the top part of the seat as compared to the Bottom Park which is untreated. It made an enormous difference and I am totally satisfied with the outcome. I highly recommend this product. It also leaves a pleasant smell in the automobile
I received the Black Magic Interior Detailer in a zipper lock bag, packed in standard shipping box in good condition. It comes in a 16oz sprayer bottle with a finger indented neck for a no slip grip. I sprayed it on my plastic dash and leather seats. It dries pretty quickly to touch. It adds a thin film that has a slight gloss to it, other than the look of newer material it is basically invisible. It seems to be very similar to the Armor All product out there. Kind of reminds me of way back when Grandma had clear plastic couch and chair covers, all in a spray bottle, only not so obnoxious and uncomfortable to sit upon. I am assuming it is a nice barrier between the environment and dash board. It also has a scent in it. The bottle says it is “new car” scent. Some people like that especially in their car but I find it weird, not unbearable but weird. I hope it goes away soon but I have the distinct feeling that it is designed to stay with it a while. It is very easy to use as you can just spray it on and forget it, or like me, want to have a more even coat with no drip marks, I spread it around with a cloth and let it dry. All in all, the stuff works pretty good. I would recommend it for keeping interiors nice and new looking.
The black magic multi purpose surface cleaner is awesome. I used it on my vehicles and on my he furniture and it did not disappoint. I am sure you will be amazed as I was. Make it shiny!
What Draw me to this was the multi surface and anti dust properties. Pretty impress. I did the whole interior and then decided to leave 1 door just wipe with a towel. After a week I can see that it's only 25% dusty compared to the untreated door. What really amazed me is that it say you can use it on the screen. So I did and the black piano gloss plastic. NO STREAKS! WOW! Not like other products I have tried. Included pic of my center console and the rear label of what it say it can do.
This Is a great product it's easy to use and works very well. It goes on easy and looks very nice I would suggest it. It has a nice smell to it and it doesn't leave a greasy residue
Black magic interior detailer I'm impressed I've tried many other brands and this works as good of not better than some of the more expensive brands on the market if your looking for a great interior detailer this is recommended
The interior of my Crown Vic had not been cleaned in awhile. A good place to try out the Black Magic multi-surface detailer. I used a clean dry microfiber cloth. The first step was to spray some on the cloth. After that I wiped down the top dash pad and then the instrument panel and front face of the dash spraying a little more on the cloth as I went along. The result of this process was a very clean, new looking dash and instrument panel. The cleaner has a very pleasant smell. The bottle says “new car scent”. I haven't had a new car in awhile so I didn't recognize it as such, but it is very pleasant. The drivers door panel had some pretty bad straining. There I sprayed the cleaner directly onto the panel and let it sit for about five minutes. The panel wiped clean with the cloth with very little effort. I really like the cleaning ability of this product, the scent, and the way the surface feels after application. I even used the cleaner for dusting the dressers and a desk in my bedroom. Worked great. Highly recommended.
Every once-in-a-while I find a product that does exactly what they say it will do, and this is one of those. Contrary to the instructions (they say to spray it onto the cleaning cloth) I sprayed lightly and directly onto specific areas (such as the console), and wiped the area with a piece of terry cloth (a microfiber cleaning cloth might be ideal). It looks very good with very little work. I did not take any precautions to prevent overspray on the fabric seats and I couldn't even see that there was any on them. They say it is safe to apply to display screens which I interpreted to include clear, plastic gauge covers. I would definitely spray the cloth and not the display screen. I detailed the interior of all of my (four) doors and they only took about 30-40 seconds each. As indicated, the treated surfaces do not look shiny or oily, but basically appear as clean and new with a flat finish. My only complaint is that a slight amount of sheen might be desirable on some surfaces. The spray bottle that it comes in is easy to handle and there are only two positions: Off (closed) and Wide Spray so you can't accidently set it on Squirt. I also tried it on my computer keyboard--I sprayed it just enough to cover all the surfaces and brushed it with a shoe-shine brush, and then wiped the keys and edges. It looks like new. Of course, if you try this you should unplug it first and don't get any more on it than you need (a light mist). I can easily imagine many other plastic surfaces that could use a little sprucing up with this product. I'm happy to say that this product has made my life just a little bit easier.
This was a professional cleaner for your interior, was very good and did not leave a gloss or residue! I definitely would recommended for cleaning your vehicle.
The bottle says “Cleans and Protects”. It seems to go on a little too dry to be a good cleaner, so I would recommend removing spills, etc. with clear water and a rag first. Where this detailer really shines is as a dust remover. Spray it on a clean microfiber towel and run it all over dusty interior surfaces. Dust clings to the towel, and the protectant leaves behind a silky-smooth, dry, non-glare surface. I don't think it repels dust, but it seems to remove static buildup so dust is at least not attracted. It has a scent; whether or not you like it will depend on your personal taste. To me it's a bit strong, sort of a sweet smell. It reminds me of what used car dealers and rental fleets use to detail their cars.
I thought that the black magic interior detailer was a great product. It had a really good smell (new car like smell). It also looked really good. Not oily when dry or Sicky. Also it protects from sun light to keep from aging your interior.
I used this on my dashboard and console. It worked great. Cleans and makes it shimmer with no glare. It does not just move the dust. Dust sticks to your cleaning cloth and it leaves a dry finish. This is an easy to use product that works.
I am very happy with this product because I applied in all the board of my truck and the results are shiny, soft and leave a great smell. The texture is non greasy like others and even if you touch surfaces do not leave your fingerprints like others. 10 stars for this product
FINALLY! I've been restoring cars for 25+ years, and there's nothing better than the first deep claening after you complete a restoration. Every single product on the market always leaves that sticky, greasy surface that attracts dust like a magnet. This does not - it leaves a clean surface that looks great but not shiny and greasy. The other major factor - it doesn't make the car smell like chemicals. It has a great scent that reminds me of the "new car fragrance" air fresheners at auto parts stores. If you like a clean car, you owe it to yourself to try this.
Black Magic Interior Detailer works good on multi-surface, including leather, plastic. It also works on most car's display screens. The price is good and it leaves a "new car" scent which I like a lot. It dries up fast and no glare at all under sun light.
I had the opportunity to try out this new auto interior cleaner made by Black Magic. I had not used an interior cleaner since the old days of Arm**al but unlike that product, this cleaner didn't leave a greasy film on everything. The old cleaner seemed to attract dust so as soon as you were done, you would see dust all over your dash. This cleaner made by Black Magic doesn't attract dust. It keeps your car dash looking brand new. The scent also leaves your interior smelling like new. It was easy to use as you just have to spray it onto a clean cloth and then just rub the wet cloth onto your dash and other interior trim pieces. I use a circular pattern so that I don't miss a spot. Once it is dry after a few seconds, it leaves a clean looking, non-greasy or too shiny look, just right. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to protect their dash and other interior surfaces from the sun and dirt. My pictures are of my 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan dash. I don't have a display screen but I heard that you can safely use it on your display screen as well. Great product, easy to use and outstanding results.
My dashboard was always dusty from normal wear and tear and I would use other dashboard cleaners. When I would finish cleaning it I noticed my dashboard would reflect onto my windshield due to it being shiney from other competitors products. Black magic WONT leave your dashboard shiney but it will clean it and make it look new again. For those who like the shine I wouldn't recommend it cause you aren't going to get it.
I am 55 years old and have always used cleaner protectors that leave a shine until now, I tried this just to see the difference and first off noticed that this cleaned very well and since it's on my daughters care it had to clean a lot and after done drove around and realized I should have been using non glaring/reflective cleaner for a long time. It use to be after detailing that I had to fear the glare and with this there is no glare and just a clean shiny yet not reflective dash and if that is not all it leaves a very pleasant scent in the car. Being my daughters car it had a tough task and yet blew through it as fast as just a cleaner and left a soft glow. If you have never tried a non shiny protective spray you need to as it leaves no slippery coating even on the steering wheel--NICE! I use a black magic product on exterior trim that does well but had never used their interior and am wondering why besides just being a creature of habit but from now on I am a convert
I HAVE USED OTHER HIGH PRICED INSIDE DETAILERS, AND I WASNT HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY FOR THE PRICE, I GOT THIS BLACK MAGIC IT WAS REALLY AFFORDABLE AND HAD SAME INGREDIENTS AS OTHERS, I WAS REALLY SURPRISED HOW NICE IT CLEANS DASH AND SEATS. JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR ITTO DRY, AND WIPE!!
This Black Magic Interior Detailer comes in a 16 ounce spray bottle with an ergonomic trigger grip. The spray head rotates between spray and closed, and works as intended without any surprises. The cleaner leaves a sweet and flowery scent ... don't know how long the aroma will last, but it's not terrible. I dusted the vinyl dash and window sills of my truck, and they were left feeling smooth and clean to the touch. The label doesn't read that it cleans glass, but I used it on my windshield and door glass anyway ... not particularly streaky, but I may use a glass cleanner later on. It has anti-static and UV protection against dust, fading and cracking. Works for me!
Used the product to detail two of my cars . Very easy to apply and it really did a great job. They both look brand new. Guess I'll start using this instead of Armour All
